| - Site survey of the proposed CeC sites in Regions 1, 2 & 5 has been completed on August 28, 2004.
- Bidding for the supply and delivery of PC workstations and
other business center equipment for the 10 sites under stage-1 (Diffun,
Cebu, Ormoc, Baybay, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Davao, Cotabato, Kabacan
and Butuan) was conducted on August 17, 2004.
- Preparation of terms of reference for the IT networking
equipment of the existing public switch network in Visayas and Mindanao
is ongoing.
- Allotment order (SARO) amounting to Php95,918,00.00 was
released by DBM on June 7, 2004. The corresponding sub-SARO amounting
to Php94,479,230.00 was issued by DOTC on June 23,2004 and August 19,
2004.

| Problems/Issues
|
| - To date, no NCA issued yet for the project.
- Project team cannot undertake the renovation and improvement
of the proposed CeC room due to unavailability of cash advance for the
procurement of materials and labor.
- If no NCA before the end of October 2004, substantial delay in the deployment of the CeC equipment would be anticipated.

Let’s celebrate the National ICT Month this June! With the theme, “A Digitally Empowered Philippines”, the event aims to actively promote, enhance and instill nationwide awareness and appreciation on the importance and value of ICT to different sectors. The activities lined up include, among others, the formal launch of the Philippine Digital Strategy 2011-2016, the launch of the commemorative stamp for the National ICT Month 2011, and the celebration of the 40th Founding Anniversary of the National Computer Center. All stakeholders from the private sector, academe, civil society and government, are encouraged to likewise organize their respective activities in line with celebrating the milestones of this event.
